This Portfolio Website was created using several web development technologies and tools. Here's a breakdown of the different components and how I used them:
Bootstrap 4
This is a popular front-end web development framework that I used as the foundation for the website's design and layout.
Reasons to use Bootstrap 4:
Community support: Bootstrap 4 has been around for a few years longer than Bootstrap 5, so it has a larger community of users and developers who have created a wealth of documentation, tutorials, and plugins.
HTML5
This is the latest version of the markup language used for structuring web pages. I used HTML5 to define the structure of the web page, including headings, paragraphs, images, links, and other elements.
CSS & SCSS
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are used to define the visual styles and layout of web pages, while Sass (SCSS) is a preprocessor that extends CSS with additional features such as variables, functions, and nesting.
JavaScript
This is a programming language that is often used to add interactivity and dynamic behavior to web pages.
Libraries and Plugins
These are pre-built collections of code that provide additional functionality to a website. Is used several libraries and plugins, including Owl Carousel for the slider, Flaticon for icons (for upcoming features), Ionicons for font icons, Icomoon for additional icons, and Magnific Pop-Up for image galleries.
GitHub
GitHub is a powerful version control tool that I used to manage changes to my project's code. With GitHub, I was able to create a repository where I could store my project's files and track any changes that were made over time. Each time I made a change, I could commit it to the repository, which created a snapshot of the code at that point in time. If I ever needed to revert back to a previous version of the code, I could simply revert to a previous commit in the history.
